It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks since I arrived in the north of India. I've been spending time assimilating what it means to be in a developing country... one with more than a billion people. I've learned that a fast growing population and an even faster growing wealth disparity, along with an social support system and infrastructure that is struggling to keep up leaves a lot of cracks to fall through. The community, it seems, is aware of the cracks and is trying to fill them, but there are also those who are trying to fill their own pockets under the guise of filling in cracks. Reminds me of home.
